Photographer Cullman Phenom lands a role in a reality TV show

Lisa Jones is no secret to the photography world. In fact, Lisa is one of the best photographers not only in Alabama, but in the whole country. Recently, she was selected in the top 10 out of over 2000 applicants to star in a new reality TV series called Behind the Shutter’s Creator Series. Behind Shutter’s Creator Series is a 7-episode web series launched on August 29, featuring some of the country’s top up-and-coming photographers. All of lighting, pose and composition will be tested. The 10 contestants, ranging in age from 22 to 60, traveled from across the United States and represented a wide diversity of photographic styles and genres, with Lisa being one of only three women to compete.

Lisa is a certified, award-winning professional portrait and portrait photographer in Cullman. She recently received Masters accreditation from PPA (Professional Photographers of America) and Portrait Masters. She specializes in studio portraiture with the goal of recreating the love of print portraits and wall art in my clients.

Jones said, “I was selected as one of ten applicants out of over 2,000 applicants to participate in the Creator Series. The series, sponsored by Canon, is a reality series where photographers face timed photographic challenges. Our work is judged at the end of each challenge, and someone is sent home. The last photographer standing wins over $20,000 in cash and prizes. It was one of the most nerve-wracking things I’ve ever done! The nerves were real. Challenges, which were all very achievable under normal circumstances, became huge obstacles when you only had ten minutes to complete them and someone was standing above you with a timer! It was an amazing opportunity for me and a great experience. The best part was getting to know other photographers that I would never have met otherwise! I feel like I have a new group of friends and I can’t wait to follow their journey.
